This comes from the period where Bill Blass was the head designer for Maurice Rentner, whose line he eventually purchased and renamed after himself by the 70s. This dress is in superb shape for its age, and the fabric is stunning. Each color is indented in the velvet, which creates different textures throughout the fabric. It’s a stunner.
